FROM THE SEPTEMBER MINUTES

Chairman of the Poppy Committee Cde Rev. L. Oracheski reported that Poppies will be distributed starting October 30 and continuing until November 10. On October 30 volunteers will be needed to get the poppies ready; distribution volunteers will also be needed to deliver poppies to their venues.

In addition, there is a need for volunteers to judge the Remembrance Day Essay, Poem, and Posters Contests from the 3 schools in our area. There is information on what the judges should be looking for.

President Cde. Tim Williams reported that Friday night Meat Draw and BBQ are going well. Chase The Queen on Wednesday is getting approximately 20-30 people out. He has spoken with Cde. A. Ammeter to see if the seniors were interested in starting up their senior program again. He called about the ATM and is waiting for a call back; will check into darts, pool, and crib with authorities to see if we can get them up and going. Thank you to the volunteers for the Chicken Dinner on the last Saturday of the month. Thanks to Bob, Kerri, Brenda O., Brenda S., Alice, Shaylene, Ken, and Terry.

The last Saturday of the month dinner has been going well so we will continue with it again in September.
