JANUARY NEWSLETTER

  Hello 2019! Out with the old, in with the new! We hope everyone will have a spectacularly successful New Year.

  Here at the Legion, our next event is Meat Draw on Friday, January 4, with ticket sales starting at 6:30 p.m. and 50-50 draw to follow.

  Darts will be played on Saturday, January 5. Call the Club Room at 204-467-2261 for further information.

  Next on the calendar, our next Executive Meeting is at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, followed by the General Meeting at 8 p.m. Your humble correspondent assumes that these meetings will provide us with information about the upcoming events at the Branch.

  Bonspiel Weekend will be February 15-17. There will be live entertainment in the Club Room on the Saturday evening, starting around 7 p.m. More details to follow.

  In Manitoba, we celebrate Louis Riel Day on February 18, and the Club Room will be closed.

  In the past, the Club Room has had Hot Meals on Friday evenings, in conjunction with Meat Draw. No schedule has yet been drawn up for this season, so if you want to know about them, you will have to phone the Club Room. Speaking of Meat Draw, the Saturday Afternoon Meat Draw on the last Saturday of the month has been well-received, and will continue. It starts at 3 p.m.

  You many recall that we elected to skip the Fall Supper in 2018, with the possibility of replacing it with a Spring dinner; this will be discussed at upcoming meetings, and I will let you all know when I know.
