Lowest Tax in Canada!

Lowest Tax in Canada
According to a recent email from Roland Fisette, District Commander, MBNO has the lowest per capita tax in Canada. That is due to the generous donations we have received from Fenety Marketing, publisher of the Military Recognition Book. Our $8.00 tax is in danger of jumping to a whopping $12.00 per membership unless Fenety Marketing is able to fill the upcoming edition of the Military Recognition Book. To meet their target they need YOUR help. If you know someone who is a veteran (including Reserves, Regular Force and RCMP), please submit a picture and information as to who they are and when and where they served; fill out the form at www.mbnwo.ca service book  and forward it immediately. The Military Recognition Book showcases our veterans, and veterans are what the Legion is all about. We only have until the beginning of June to complete this project.

Pool
No it is not a swimming pool. Branch Number 52 Stonewall has a brand new pool table. It is seeing a lot of use – apparently people are enjoying it very much. Come on down and try it out!

Darts
Branch Number 52 now has dart boards, and darts are being played regularly on Tuesday nights. It is fast-paced action, with a lot of good competition. The Club Room bar serves a wide variety of tasty drinks, and lots of yummy snacks. Come out and have a good time “down t’ the Legion”!

Barbecue
The ever-popular Friday Night Barbecues will be starting up again on May 25. There is a sign-up sheet at the bar if you would like to donate a few hours of your time to participate. This is held in conjunction with the Meat Draws, and runs from about 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
